DearFolk

Terms of use

Effective November 1, 2026

DearFolk is currently offered as an invitation-only beta. For questions, contact terms@dearfolk.app.

Using DearFolk

Use your own account, keep your password private and provide an email you control. Invitations and access are subject to administrator approval. Do not impersonate others, share credentials, misuse invitations, upload unlawful content, or attempt to access someone else’s account.

Your information and content

You retain your rights in the information and greetings you add. You give DearFolk permission to store and process that content only as needed to provide and maintain the service. Only upload content you are entitled to use and share. See our Privacy policy for how information is handled.

Calendar dates, reminders and greetings

Check important dates and messages before relying on them. Calendar conversions can depend on the calendar tradition and known family dates. Device settings, connectivity and service interruptions can delay or prevent reminders. DearFolk does not send WhatsApp or other recipient greetings automatically; you choose the recipient and press Send in your messaging app.

Beta availability and changes

The beta is currently free. Features may change and interruptions or errors can occur. No paid plan or recurring charge is created by joining this beta. We may restrict accounts that misuse the service. Please keep a downloaded copy of information important to you.

Leaving the service

You can request account deletion in Settings → Account & invitations or contact privacy@dearfolk.app. Requests are reviewed, and a pending request may be cancelled. Previously shared copies cannot be recalled and protected backup copies follow our retention policy.

Third-party services

Your use of WhatsApp, your browser, email or other external services is also governed by those providers’ terms. DearFolk is not affiliated with WhatsApp. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under applicable law.
